We're Alive... and Busy!

Hello Friends & Family!

Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season so far! I love this time of year, and I love that now I can decorate for Christmas and not feel any guilt for skipping Thanksgiving! :)

So, first things first, pregnancy pictures! I haven't been very good about taking consistent pictures of how my body is changing throughout this pregnancy (I can thank my daggum busy schedule for that!). Here are the two (semi-official) pictures that we have managed to take. With that said, the second one isn't even up to date. Oh well!

I'm currently at 25 weeks, so I'm already bigger than the last set of pictures. I'll try to have another documenting shoot soon!

So for the past few months we have been busy! Tyler was on a baseball team with his work, Coca-Cola. It was fun for him to play, and it drove Max crazy to attend the games and not be able to chase the ball. So, all around good! Below is a picture of their team shirt, which I thought was hilarious. Think Rihanna.

In October we visited my parents in Kansas and got to see their little apartment and the town that they are serving their mission in. It was so great seeing them and meeting some of the people that they have told us about.

We also had some fun date nights, including visiting the corn maze with Max. I forgot how fun those are! We also tagged along on Halloween and trick or treated with the nieces and nephews. Max joined in the group as a lion.

We got a head start on Christmas decorations and threw up some Christmas lights on our house. This is the first year that we have put up Christmas lights. I didn't help much, since my sweet and overprotective husband wouldn't let his pregnant wife on the roof. So I hung out with Max on the grass and would throw him supplies and take his picture. It was pretty fun! I haven't gotten a picture of the finished product yet, but here are some pictures of the process!

From watching, and listening to Tyler's perspective, hanging Christmas lights on steep roofs and peaks is scary! Thanks babe for all the work and making our house festive!

Last week we went to Washington for Thanksgiving. We were able to see Tyler's side of the family and catch up with them. It was a great trip! I unfortunately didn't get any pictures, but trust me, it was fun and yummy!

This week we start our prepared birthing classes. Tyler and I both have no idea what to expect, but hopefully it will be fun, and hopefully it will make me less scared about the "big day" at the end of the pregnancy. Eek!

That's about it for updates for now. We'll have plenty more to share at the end of the Holiday season! Thanks so much for checking in on us! We love you all!

We have an annnoouuuncement.... :)

Hey Friends and Family!

Well, we have some BIG news about something... or someone...  that we have been dying to share for a while: we're pregnant!! I am 14 (almost 15) weeks pregnant, and our baby is due March 10th! I'm feeling great and we just entered into our second trimester.

We are SO excited! As some of you know, we have been trying to add to our family for a while, so this feels like such a blessing. We told our family around 7 weeks, and now that we are in the safety zone, we are ready to share our good news with all of our friends!

On top of knowing that we are pregnant, we also already know that we are having a baby girl. I'm not going to lie, I was 99% sure I was going to be having a boy first, and I had thought that since Jr. High, so getting the news that we would be having a little girl was a bit of a shocker (okay, honest talk - a HUGE shocker!). But, after remembering all that comes with little girls, I am really excited to meet her and have all the joys that come with little girls. I can't wait for a mini-me that I can dress up, tell stories to, and love on for the rest of my life. There is only excitement (and a healthy dose of fear) over here.

This upcoming week is my birthday week, and I honestly don't know what Tyler is going to do. I have everything I could ever want and already feel so blessed. I'm a lucky girl with a husband that makes me so incredibly happy, an amazing family that loves and supports me, a fluffy dog that is my number one, incredible friends, and now a sweet little spirit on the way. I think that the only way he can add to all this happiness is with the new Cinderella DVD ;) haha jk!

Thank you again for following along with us and our busy lives. We love and appreciate you all! Until next time!

Love,

Las Vegas Birthday Trip!

Monday, September 7, 2015

Hey Friends and Fam!

We went to Laaaassss Veegaasss! This is my birthday month - it's a big deal, all month ;) .... haha I wish! But since we have the three day weekend earlier in the month, it makes it easy to have a little trip and categorize it under birthday! Tyler did a great job of planning and we made a great weekend out of it!

We arrived in Vegas late on Thursday night, and stayed at the Palms Hotel. It's about a 3 minute drive from the strip, and it's a beast of a place! On Friday we went to the temple in the morning. It's a gorgeous temple! We had fun spending time there and then taking some pictures afterwards. I have so much fun with this guy. It's so easy to spend time and have fun with him.

My husband makes me laugh :)
Afterwards, we changed and headed to the strip. We visited the Coca-Cola store, which was fun for me, and especially for Tyler! We tried the Coca-Cola Float's sampler. Out of the 10 options, only three items actually tasted good with ice cream... which wasn't a surprise. But it was still fun to do!

After the Coca-Cola store we headed over to the M&M store, the Hershey's store, as well as a few of the other shops. We grabbed a quick bite and then headed over to the Celine Dion show in Caesar's Palace. Holy Cow, let me just announce that Celine can still sing, and she is superstar status. The show was amazing. Even the songs that I didn't know were good! It's definitely an item to check off your bucket list.

The next day we stopped by the hotel pool for a while, walked the strip some more and then watched the David Copperfield Magic show. I'm still trying to figure out how he did some of his tricks, and I'm losing sleep at night over it. It was fun to go and even more fun to discuss everything with Tyler afterwards.

At the Copperfield Show!
It was a great trip! Thanks so much to my sweet husband for making it happen, and making it so fun! That will probably be our last Couple's Trip for a while, so I'm glad it was such a fun one!

Thanks so much for reading and following along with our busy lives!

Doggie Pool Party

Hey Friends and Family!

So last weekend the local Activities Center had a doggie pool party. They are redoing the flooring in their pool, so they figured why not go out with a bang for the old flooring, and let the dogs swim.
We took Max, and he had the best time. It seriously was the cutest thing to watch him jump in the water, chase all the balls, and run around with all of the dogs. He was one of the only pups swimming and playing in the deep end. I caught some good pictures of the pup!
Thanks to the Jones Center for the fun event! We love our town and the fun the things that go on here.
Thanks for reading everyone! Until next time!

With Love,
