Hello Coca-Cola!

Thursday, February 26, 2015

Hey Friends & Family!

So big news in the Jensen house: Tyler got a job with Coca-Cola! He had been applying at a few different places and we heard back from Coca-Cola today that they want him! We are really excited about this opportunity, and not just because we may get free Simply Orange juice & Barq's Rootbeer, but because it seems like an awesome company with a lot of opportunities for Ty.

He called me with the good news today while he was at work, so before he got home I threw up some celebratory decorations and then waited to snap his picture when he walked in.

After calling our parents and letting our family know of the good news we headed off to them gym and then home for dinner. We picked up a Coca-Cola and a Rootbeer (because that's my absolute favorite, and they're owned by Coca-Cola) to celebrate the good news. Can you tell that we party hard?
In other news, Tyler got asked to serve as the second counselor in the Branch Presidency of the Singles Ward at church. To say that it was a huge surprise is a really big understatement, but the whole experience has been filled with tender mercies and it has really built our testimonies that the Lord is the one that is directing our lives, and that he places people in our lives for a reason. We are really excited to be back in the singles ward and get to know everyone there.

It's crazy how things work out. That's what we are learning over here on this end of the country. We would have never guessed a few months ago that Tyler would have a different job and that we would be going to church in a different ward. But, change is good! We're excited to see what other things will be coming up for us!

As always, thanks so much for keeping up with our lives! Until next time!

Love,

Snow Day!

Monday, February 16, 2015

It snowed! Last night we got about 4-5 inches of snow.. about time! So, of course since Arkansas isn't equipped to handle this mini-downpour, we are having snow day today!  This morning when Tyler took Max out he did this irritated growl at the snow at first, since it was a different scene than normal. Then after that he jumped in and had a blast playing in it. He loved catching snowballs and sprinting around. After playing outside for a while we are just having a fun shut-in day at home. Tyler is doing his work from here today and we are going hot-chocolate crazy. It's the perfect day. I snapped some pics while we were out playing in the snow today. Take a gander:

Tyler's Reppin' his High School. This is his swim parka from water polo, which he loves to pull out as an at home robe/coat. He's cute.

I adore days like this. I love having the fireplace going, mugs full of hot chocolate and having my man home all day. Life is good!

As always, thanks for reading and catching up with our lives!

With Love,

Valentines Day

Sunday, February 15, 2015

Happy Valentines Day! I hope it was a great day for all of you! We had a busy, but fun holiday weekend.

All of our local nieces and nephews spent the night at our house on Friday. We had a blast eating pizza, playing hide and go seek, having a dance party and watching disney movies with them. They are ah-dorable. Seriously. I'm trying to refrain from being "that aunt" that pinches their little cheeks off. At night we had them all pile into the guest room. It was cute to listen to them giggling with each other for a while before they fell asleep. I'm a lucky "Auntie-Rif".

So the next day after all the kids went home we began our Valentines Day festivities. Tyler planned an indoor rock climbing trip for the both of us. I have been talking about how I want to rock climb more since we got married, so the cute husband that I have made it happen. We went to this indoor bouldering place that is about 20 minutes away. It was a weird feeling to just jump down after you make it to the top off the walls. Call me spoiled, but I'm used to belaying my way down, even if it is only 20 feet high. It was a great time! We realized how out of shape we are in the rock-climber's world pretty quickly. My forearms and even funky muscles in my legs are reminding me of that today every time I move.

So the gym also had this nice rope that was enticing to try out. Lets just say that I should have done that before I started climbing instead of after, because my arms were dead.. but I did it! I felt like I was that little 6th grade girl climbing the rope in gymnastics class again, since I'm pretty sure that's the last time I climbed a rope.
After we wore ourselves out rock climbing, we went home and cleaned up for our date night. It was perfect. We started off with a quick little family photoshoot and then headed out for dinner. Check out my hot date! :)

Tyler was a prepared date and had made reservations for Table Mesa, which is this fancy Mexican restaurant (yes, those apparently do exist) on Bentonville Square. They even had some fancy photographer going around and taking complimentary Valentines Day photos. Don't mind if I do!

We had some time to kill before our dinner reservation, so we walked into the free Walmart Museum on the square. It was fun to just spend time together walking around the museum and taking pictures with each other. We're hot messes, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

After dinner Tyler had planned a mini shopping trip (best husband ever!). A new pair of shoes later we went home and watched a movie while taking test bites out of the assorted chocolate box. It was a great Valentines Day. I'm so lucky to have such an amazing man to spend it with. He's so good at making me laugh and at seeing the silver linings in life. I'm a lucky girl to be able to have the future with this one. I love you, Ty!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day too! Thanks for keeping up with our lives. We appreciate it! Especially if you made it this far and through all my mushy love comments. :) Until next time!

With Love,
