Back from the Dead!

Hello Everyone!

Well this is a little embarrassing. Sorry I haven't posted in what... months! Life has been so crazy (as always!) I know it's no excuse but seriously. Life's crazy.

Well where to begin! For starters we have a new member of our family! We are proud to announce that we have a new little four-legged friend running around our apartment. His name is Max and he is a 9 week old goldendoodle (part golden-retriever, part poodle). He is pretty much the softest, most adorable little puppy that I have ever held. Oh, and did I mention that he is spoiling Tyler and I? We were prepared to have some hard work going into this, with potty-training and lot of puppy-cries at night, but somehow we have been blessed with the perfect puppy. He somehow already gets this potty-training business, he doesn't cry at night, he is learning so fast and is happy to be cuddled with all day long. Seriously, he's spoiling us and we are in love with him.

He's got a rough life, doesn't he?
Okay, next topic. Tyler got accepted to University of Arkansas for his Masters Degree at their Sam Walton Business College. I'm so proud of him! He is going to be in their executive MBA program which means he will still have his full time job with Bear River International and he'll have a couple classes on Saturday. It's going to be hard work but it will be worth it when he's graduating in 2 years. Something that's kind of a fun perk is that my brother, Caleb (who happens to work with Tyler at Bear River) will be starting in the same program at the same time so they'll be going to school and work together which will be fun for them. It's also kinda fun that he and I will be students together again... except for the fact that we most likely will never be on campus at the same time. But, oh well. We can do homework together, right? :)

Okay, third thing on the update list. Christmas! We just got back from visiting Oregon and Washington for Christmas this year. We were able to see Tyler's Mom and Step Father for the first half of the trip. We went up with them and Tyler's Brother and our Sister in Law, Travis and Cami, to this fun cabin in Oregon. We were able to go on a beautiful up-hill hike that I wasn't in shape for as well as you're typical family fun things like board games and hot-tubbing at the hotel. We had a lot of fun up there. Oh, and did I mention that Oregon is Gorgeous? It was the rainy season while we were there but I can only imagine how pretty it is in the sunny season. For Christmas day Cami's family was gracious enough to let Tyler and I spend it with them. We had a lot of fun with Christmas festivities and minute to win it games with them. Parker family, if you're reading this, thank you so much again for having us! We had a lot of fun! :)
After Christmas Tyler, Travis, Cami and I headed to Washington to meet up with Tyler's Dad and Step Mother and all of his siblings on that side for Christmas with them. We had a lot of fun with them too! We played games there as well, took some lovely family pictures (thanks to Cami's lovely photography skills) and saw the Secret Life of Walter Mitty movie... Can I just say that watching that movie reaffirmed my desire to travel the world? Just throwing that out there in case any of you plan on going anytime soon and have room for 2 extra people and a puppy. ;)

After we got home from our trip we spent New Year's Eve with my family doing our annual tradition of board games and yummy snacks. Thank Heaven's for good traditions!

Here are some of the pictures from our trip. (*All of the photo's were taken by Cami by the way. She did a good job, don't you think?)

Here is the rewarding scenic waterfall from the lovely hike I mentioned.

Here is the Parker family as well and Tyler and I and John and Susan.
Thanks again for the good time Parker Family!
So we had a Gingerbread house competition at the Parker's and  this is the creation crafted by Tyler and I.
(To see the other houses that we were competing against

Okay I think that's it for this time. We have one other big piece of news but I'll save that for next time. I don't want to tempt fate and speak about it until it's a for sure thing!

I hope you had a Merry Christmas and a fun New Years! Thanks for reading!
