Our Texas Travels!

Hey Friends and Fam!
Happy Sunday! We have had a fabulous weekend here at the Jensen home. We had stake conference for our church (a meeting for all of the congregations in our area) and we were blessed to have Elder Bednar, an apostle, here for the meetings. It's been an awesome weekend.

So things in our lives are same as ever. Tyler is "wheelin' and dealin'" and just loving work. He really is so lucky to have the awesome work environment that he does. His coworkers are great, it's cool to be working out of a barn as a businessman and it's giving him so many opportunities and learning experiences. Go Bear River International! I have been super busy between school and my callings, but I'd rather be busier than not. Some of the young women from church came over this past weekend for a Halloween party, complete with candy apples and the classic game of ultimate spoons. Way fun. We also had a crafty activity last weekend at church. Maybe I'll even post some of the crafts I made one day,  but for today take a gander at this handsome business man instead... just because. :)

So a couple of weeks ago we were able to make a trip down to Houston to visit Tyler's Mom, Susan, and stepdad, John. We had a blast! We went biking together, complete with my first wipeout. I think that makes me an official mountain biker. And might I add that John is a beast when it comes to biking. We were wiped out afterwards. In the pictures below all you're seeing is pure exhaustion. More so for Tyler since he and John went the extra mile, literally, at the end. Without further ado, here are the pictures from our great trip:

Scary, exhausted, dehydrated faces. I probably shouldn't even post this pic. Oh well. Enjoy.

John & Susan
Here are our red faces after playing some frisbee... or just my red face. No biggie.
Seriously. I love Susan's backyard... and so does Max.

Here is a picture of a typical car ride for Max. Oh the little things.
Also, one of my awesome sisters (well technically sister-in-law, but whatever), just started a new little business of some adorable baby girl clothes. Seriously, they're so adorable that it's making me want a baby girl. Here is my shameless plug to check out her stuff! You can follow her page on Facebook here or you can visit her etsy page directly here. Even if you don't have kids it may make for a good baby shower gift. Check it out! Below is a sample:

Well those were some of the bigger little things that are going on for us around here. Things are good and life is keeping us busy! Thanks for taking the time to check our little corner of the internet. :)

With love,

Florida Vacay/My 22nd Birthday!

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

Hello Friends and Family!
So I'm finally posting the Florida trip/birthday post! Yay! There is in an overload of pictures here, so be warned. We were a little camera excited on our trip so bear with me if there are some dumb photos. For every photo I have posted, there are at least 10 that I didn't post, so I did weed some out. :)

For organization sake, I'll try to post this by events. But before all of the pictures I have a nice little video to set the tone. (Warning, It's a little long, a little shaky and for some reason I'm chewing gum like I've never had it before because I'm so excited). Everything about the Florida trip was a surprise. Tyler pulled out his ah-mazing, romantic, creative husband card and blew it out of the water. All he told me in advance was to mark off some dates in the calendar, then on the night before he told me to pack clothes for warm weather. Period. He wouldn't give me any hints! The sneak! I had to try really hard to not be a sneak back and snoop in his email or whatnot to figure out the surprise. Without further ado, the video:

So we decided to hit up Universal Studios on our first day because neither of us had ever been, and you have to go at least once. I just need to announce that it was beyond worth it thanks to Harry Potter World! Okay friends, hear me when I tell you that I know that I am about to get really, really nerdy. I know it. But, with all due respect, you can't contain your inner nerd once you enter, and even after you leave Harry Potter World. It just isn't possible. So consider that your warning for the "nerdiness" that is going to take place in this blog post.

So we tried to pace ourselves at Universal before sprinting to Harry Potter World. We hit up some other respectable rides, like Minions, the Rock and Roll coaster, twister, etc. Ty wanted to hit up Jurassic Park Land, so, like the little tourist that I was, I made him stop for the picture below:

We grabbed some good photos at some other rides, but let's be honest, Harry Potter World needs to, and is worth, the rest of the pictures from Universal. Without further jargon, Harry Potter World everyone, where dreams became a reality:

So the above photos are in Diagon Alley. In the second, I'm in my happy place, and the first, Tyler is drinking a "butter beer" and enjoying life. Notice that behind me is a large dragon just hanging out on a bank (no bigs). Well in the picture below it is literally shooting fire out of it's mouth, which is what everyone is looking at:

So this photo is my favorite one from the trip. Maybe that's weird, but hear me out: this is a photo of a fine looking man watching a dragon, that is sitting on a bank, shoot fire out of it's mouth. Everyone around him is in tourist mode, snapping pictures, but not this guy. This guy is just standing there, nice and dapper, enjoying his "butterbeer", acting like this isn't that out of the norm. And on top of that, none of this was posed. Therefore, I love this picture. Here, look at it one more time. Take in the greatness of it:

Hogwarts Castle: best ride ever.

So after our big day at Universal, we stopped to eat in the little strip outside of the theme park and were lucky enough to find a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. We, both being huge fans of Forest Gump, and seafood lovers, immediately decided we needed to eat there for the first time in our lives. Ever since, I have been craving seafood nonstop. It was ah-mazing!

Remember how I said I have been craving seafood ever since. That was an immediate thing. The next night I had Tyler take me to Joe's Crab Shack. Can't. Stop. Need. Seafood.

I don't even know where to begin on Disney World. It was just amazing all around. I felt like I was a little girl in dreamland. It was amazing. Period. We started off in the Disney Hollywood Park where we got to hit up the Tower of Terror and some other great rides.

In Hollywood we went to go and see the Indiana Jones show. I was lucky enough to get called from the audience to be an "actress" in the show. So much fun! They pretty much had me run with the group, screaming in terror, from one side of the stage to another. It was a pretty big deal. I'm pretty sure our screams made the show the masterpiece that it was. ;) Below are some pictures from my big Hollywood breakout. Excuse the blurriness.

Introducing ourselves to the audience. I had to repeat my name at least 3 times. I still
don't think anyone knew what I was saying... oh well.
I'm the one in the center wearing red.

Here's our moment of running and screaming in terror! Outstanding!
Here's Indiana, making our acting look bad.

After we were done sprinting around the Hollywood Park, we took the Disney Bus over to Magic Kingdom. Once I got in there and saw all of the adorable little girls in their princess dresses, I kinda wished I had worn my prom or wedding dress to fit in. Oh well.

Take 1 with the castle..
Take 2, just a little bit closer...
I'm trying to convince Tyler that we should build a house like this one day: Princess Castle style.

Inside Cinderalla's Castle

Buzz Lightyear Ride. I don't think I know how to aim to shooter based on my score..
Tyler  nailed it though. Go Ty!
Disney is so legit that they have a seperate parade for rainy days, equipped with
it's own song and the classic characters. I love this place.
Waiting in line for the Haunted Mansion Ride.
Disney World was beyond fabulous. I'm so glad that I was able to finally go!  Tyler and I have decided that it will need to be something that happens frequently in our marriage since it was such a great trip. Thanks again for that amazing surprise, Tyler! You're such a great husband!

A couple of weeks after Florida came my official birthday. It was a great day! I spent it getting a mani/pedi with my sweet friend, Melanie. (Thank you again!) Then my Mom, my sister, Kelly, and my niece, Camilla,  took me out to lunch at this cute place called The Crumpit Tea Room. It was a lot of fun. Then, after trying on too many shoes to count at DSW with my Mom, Tyler took me out to sushi and then took me home for my surprise birthday party. He even well equipped it with tres leches cake. YUM! Then Tyler surprised me even more with some really sweet and thoughtful gifts. I really am so spoiled with such a good spouse. He pampers me beyond what I deserve. With the way that he makes me feel, maybe I should be living in Cinderella's Castle. Even though you probably won't read this thoroughly enough to see, thank you for all you do, Tyler. I love you!

I think that I have covered enough to suffice for a blog post.. and then some. If you made it this far then thank you for reading! Seriously, that probably took some commitment since it was such a beast post.  Thanks again for reading, and until next time!

Love,
