So, as many of you know, we spent the entire year last year living in an apartment while we were building a house! Not gonna lie, it was hard. It was hard to be pregnant and have half of my things in storage. It was also hard to not be able to nest or feel prepared at all for the baby. We weren't pregnant when we moved into the apartment, so of course I packed all of our baby things away in storage, thinking that we would be in a house by time we had another baby. Well, I was wrong. We ended up living with my mom for the entire last month of my pregnancy. Our lease was up, our house was really close to being done, and I knew that I did not want to take my baby home to the apartment. So thankfully, my parents let us join them for a few weeks while we were in transition. It ended up being a huge blessing since both Annie and I got sick with the flu when I was due to have the baby at anytime. My mom was supermom and saved the day.
Here's little Annie loving life while living at Grandma's.
Grandma's house means sweet treats daily!
While we were staying at my moms, I took some pictures of Laura just to document her fresh little newborn-ness. Here are some of those shots, as well as the behind the scenes with my little helper, Annie.
About a week after having the baby, our house was finished! We had help from our family and church and got to move into our house! About a week after that, we had a lifestyle shoot to document this time with the new baby. It was fun - but also stressful since, in my head, I had to have rooms unpacked and ready for a photoshoot, even though I had a newborn. I'm a mess. Anyways, it all turned out fine! Here are some pictures I took of the baby at my moms while she was super fresh and new, and then here are also some of the pictures from the photoshoot that my friend, Emily, took for us at our home. I'm so grateful we got some family shots to document such a crazy and sweet time!
