Caution: This post is long due to all the pictures! Sorry! ;)
Hello again! So our summer adventures just keep coming! I know last time I mentioned that we were in Idaho and I posted all of the fun pictures of our pre-reunion. Well the reunion is sadly over but it was amazing! I just want to write a big official thank-you to my big brother, Nick, and his wife, Megan. They were the party planners for this years reunion and they did amazing.
So this reunion was in Sun Valley, Idaho. We went mountain biking, river rafting, boating at red-fish lake (a cold, but GORGEOUS place by the way!) and Tyler got to go fishing everyday, multiple times a day - he was in heaven. It was a fabulous time! Not to mention, the cabin that we were staying at was incredible, so that made it fun for hide-and-go seek games with the kids.
So I have about a billion pictures from the reunion, so I'll let the pictures do most of the story telling here. Below are the pictures from when we rode the gondola to the top of the mountain before mountain biking down it (seems like the best kind of mountain biking if you ask me...). It was his second time to do this trail but it was my first time to go mountain biking ever. We loved it! We want to get more into it, so if you happen to know of good places to go around Arkansas, please share!
Pit stop for lunch/photo-shoot of Tyler. |
The photos below are from when we went up the gondola again later with my parents and my brother. He was about to go do the trail as well.
These are my parents. Aren't they adorable? :) |
We chose to make lasagna for our night. Yummm. |
Family reunions = family photo shoots. Enjoy!

So below are the pictures from our day at Redfish Lake. It is by far the prettiest lake I have ever been to with the best beach area. We went out on my brothers boat and got some knee boarding and wake boarding time in. Pictures below!
The scenery, as you can tell, was something out of a movie. |
Freezing cold water! |
Below are some pictures from our day on the river:
Again, a huge thank you to Nick and Megan! The reunion was so much fun, all thanks to their planning.
After we left Idaho, we headed over to Oregon to visit Tyler's brother, Travis, and his wife, Cami. We weren't able to stay for very long unfortunately, but we had a blast for the couple of days that we were there. It's always fun to be able to hang out with them. We were able to see their new house and see around their town. Thank you, Travis and Cami, for having us. We loved being able to visit! Somehow we didn't manage to get any pictures together. I guess we were just too busy having fun. ;)
Below are the pictures from the road trip out of Oregon.
After leaving Oregon, we headed to Boise for a night, then we spent the next day in Salt Lake City, Utah. We had a great day together. It was a nice date-day. We walked around Temple Square as well as in the visitors centers. We later walked around the mall and enjoyed sushi (for the second time this trip - I have a sushi fetish..) and then enjoyed gelato. It was our first time to try it, and for the record, it's ah-mazing.
After our night in Salt Lake City, we headed over to Colorado the next day and stayed the night with my old roommate, Alison, and her husband, Matt. We were able to double date with them that night and we had a lot of fun catching up with them! Again, we somehow didn't manage to take a photo. But a big shout out to Matt and Alison for letting us take over their home for a night. We had a great time with you both!
So, after a long drive all across the west side of the country, we are finally home! It's nice to be back with our pup and to have clean laundry again. We had a great trip and loved being able to visit some friends and family. We wish we could have stayed longer and visited more! We're grateful for all of the warm hospitality that we received. Thank you for reading our post if you made it all the way to the end! I know it was a little lengthier that normal. Until next time!
With Love,
