Happy Valentines Day! I hope it was a great day for all of you! We had a busy, but fun holiday weekend.
All of our local nieces and nephews spent the night at our house on Friday. We had a blast eating pizza, playing hide and go seek, having a dance party and watching disney movies with them. They are ah-dorable. Seriously. I'm trying to refrain from being "that aunt" that pinches their little cheeks off. At night we had them all pile into the guest room. It was cute to listen to them giggling with each other for a while before they fell asleep. I'm a lucky "Auntie-Rif".
So the next day after all the kids went home we began our Valentines Day festivities. Tyler planned an indoor rock climbing trip for the both of us. I have been talking about how I want to rock climb more since we got married, so the cute husband that I have made it happen. We went to this indoor bouldering place that is about 20 minutes away. It was a weird feeling to just jump down after you make it to the top off the walls. Call me spoiled, but I'm used to belaying my way down, even if it is only 20 feet high. It was a great time! We realized how out of shape we are in the rock-climber's world pretty quickly. My forearms and even funky muscles in my legs are reminding me of that today every time I move.
After we wore ourselves out rock climbing, we went home and cleaned up for our date night. It was perfect. We started off with a quick little family photoshoot and then headed out for dinner. Check out my hot date! :)
Tyler was a prepared date and had made reservations for Table Mesa, which is this fancy Mexican restaurant (yes, those apparently do exist) on Bentonville Square. They even had some fancy photographer going around and taking complimentary Valentines Day photos. Don't mind if I do!
We had some time to kill before our dinner reservation, so we walked into the free Walmart Museum on the square. It was fun to just spend time together walking around the museum and taking pictures with each other. We're hot messes, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
After dinner Tyler had planned a mini shopping trip (best husband ever!). A new pair of shoes later we went home and watched a movie while taking test bites out of the assorted chocolate box. It was a great Valentines Day. I'm so lucky to have such an amazing man to spend it with. He's so good at making me laugh and at seeing the silver linings in life. I'm a lucky girl to be able to have the future with this one. I love you, Ty!
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day too! Thanks for keeping up with our lives. We appreciate it! Especially if you made it this far and through all my mushy love comments. :) Until next time!
With Love,
