Wrapping up 2019 | SPRING

Thursday, January 16, 2020

Spring was eventful! Annie continued her trend of hospital visits. While playing with some friends on their trampoline, she got double bounced and fractured her  leg (her tibia bone). It was kind of a crazy experience. I didn't know immediately that it was broken, and I didn't know how bad the injury was since it was also nap time and lunch time. So I got her home, got her on the couch, she calmed down, but then she wouldn't walk on her leg AT ALL. So, I took her to the urgent care clinic where they took an x-ray, and confirmed she had a break. BUT, they weren't sure how to cast or wrap it since it was near her growth plate, and it would be a specialist's job. So, after hearing back from the orthopedics office that they wouldn't be able to see her for over a week, I waited a couple days and couldn't handle it. I ended up taking her back the children's hospital instead where they wrapped her leg, and then got us a sooner appointment with their orthopedic specialist. I was just too stressed that her leg was completely untreated and about her healing incorrectly since that appointment was so far out. #mommabearstress
Here is Annie PRE- popsicles...
And here is Annie POST -popsicles. Haha this girl loves her sweets.
All wrapped up and ready to see the specialist in a few days.
Ready to go home!
Getting her cast put on. She confidently chose hot pink. :)
Little one with her new cast.
It took her a few days to realize that she can put weight on that leg again. Once she realized her leg was safe, she was off! She danced at dance class, climbed her toys, and tried hard to keep up with her friends. Every now and then she would get frustrated, but she was resilient. I'm proud of her.

Right before getting her cast off!
She was a little nervous, but the nurse was great about making her feel better. <3
Other fun events this Spring were dance class! Annie had her dance recital which was Disney themed this year. She did great! So proud of my cute girl!

PROM DAY!
My sweet friend, Caeli, asked me to do her hair for prom this year. I was so happy to! Buuuut, also nervous since I'm just an amateur with hair. But I think it turned out how she wanted it. Annie kept telling her how pretty she was. (She's our babysitter - so our girls LOVE her). She's the best, so I was so honored to be apart of such a special day for her.

Mothers Day -
This is a pretty accurate portrayal of what happens whenever we try to get a pretty picture.
                                                               Annie's rocking it though :)
These cuddles and smiles though :D
 Miscellaneous Sweet Babies

 Cooking with the Jensens
Chef Tyler in the killing it in the kitchen! I need to brag on him for a second - this man has really earned himself a badge in the food department. He has gotten great at making steaks, homemade pizza, saffron rice, etc. He has become an adventurer in the kitchen with me - and I love it and him for it.
Cookie and Cake batter cannot be resisted by the little's over here. :)

 Mommy/Annie Date :)
